Day 121
One of the many charming aspects of Paris is how various Metro stops transport one to other worlds within the city. At the Cite Metro stop, you climb the stairs to emerge into a forest of greenery, steps away from the Queen Elizabeth II Flower market. With its pavilions of flowers, orchids, watering cans, and other garden related treasures. You can wander through the flower filled shops like others have been doing since 1830. The Parisians love their flowers, potted, cut, growing on balconies or rooftops. This is one of the three main markets in the city where they are able to satisfy their green thumbs and love for colorful blossoms year round.
The Queen Elizabeth II market is on Place Louis Lépine between the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chapelle chapel. There are many other flower markets I plan to discover.
