From One Button Pancakes to Andy’s Frozen Custard

Day 2, Summer in Asia ~ From Nashville, TN to Columbia, MO

Ever since I read about a donut machine in Homer Price (by Robert McClowsky) when I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated with foodie machines. Who knew Chattanooga was harboring this little gem–a pancake making machine! With a press of a button and a few minutes, it plops a hot pancake on your plate. Spectacular, right? Wouldn’t mind having one of these at home for Sunday mornings.

After all that outrageous breakfast excitement, the girls settled down into road trip hibernation. We reached my dad’s house in the evening.

Great to see my dad and Sandy–always such a huge warm welcome. We had yummy Thai food and had dessert at the local favorite, Andy’s frozen custard. Never had it before–delicious and rich. I would take it over ice cream any day!

So the day started and ended with two firsts; one button pancakes and frozen custard. That’s my kind of day.
