Cali’s tuk got a needle in the tire, so they couldn’t pick her up to take her to school. When they called they always ask to speak with Cali since her Spanish is much better than mine.
We woke up early to go to the Hotel Atitlan. The hotel charges 40Q to enter the grounds, but if you have breakfast, they will deduct the cost of breakfast from the entrance fee.
The grounds were beautiful in a random tropical kind of style. Kier came along. After we were there for a while, the kids left us and went wake boarding with the owner of the gym who has a boat. We could see them go by in the boat from where we were sitting. We kept waving at them as they went by.
After that we came back to my friend’s house and a couple more people came over. Her house is always grand central station.
I picked Cali up from the family’s house, and came back to my friends because we were going to make another fish supper. One friend went to the market to buy fish. There is a woman who comes from the coast on Tuedays and Saturdays. She is at the market only in the early mornings and the late afternoons. He was saying that after he bought the fish, another woman ran after him and said not to eat the one fish that he bought because it would make him sick. We all discussed what to do and the consensus was to throw the fish away and not take any chances.
I went out and bought some rice and stuff for a salad. Then we cooked the meal and ate it around 8 pm. Kier and Madi had practice until 7 pm, so everything happened late for Cali. One of the guys carried her out to the street and put her in our tuk for me. I can’t carry her anymore.
