A Soup Festival and the Wall of Love

Day 152

There are small little plazas all over the city, and they are adorable. But they aren`t there merely for quaint decoration, people actually use them. People walk their dogs, sit on the benches talking with friends, feed the birds. The Place des Abbesses is one of the two little squares closest to our home.

We walk through this square daily on our way to the Coquelicot bakery.

On the weekends kids ride on the carousel. Bordering the square is The Square Jehan-Rictus, which is more like a little garden. It houses the I Love You wall that has 311 phrases of I love you in 250 languages.

Some weekends there are special events. Today there was a soup festival with white tents. The entire square smelled amazing.
