Growing up, what my mom couldn’t afford in Christmas presents she made up for with home baked goodies. She was the daughter of a German master baker and had mad skills at creating little treasures from the dry staples in our cupboard. This was her favorite way of showing love and has become one of our family’s favorites, too. Every Christmas we bake a few of our favorites, make a gingerbread house, and try a few new recipes.
Some of our favorite cookies and madeleines!
We usually bake some kind of yummy breakfast fantasticness. This year it was Brie wreath. They separate into their own little heavenly croissant sandwiches of brie, bacon, and cranberry.
The edible art this year was a cheese plate that had cream cheese evergreens and a mozzarella igloo. Kier always does something magical.
