Coffee Maker and Beds

Day 119

Paris

For our first full day in Paris, we wasted no time. First things first. While I’m tempted by the French notion of drinking French coffee, in little white French espresso shotglass cups, in a little French scarf, from the French sidewalk cafes,  I’ll stick to a sure thing: me getting up and having coffee on my couch, in my pjs, with my body curled happily around a reasonably sized mug of steamy happiness. No matter where you drop me, that won’t change any time soon, if ever.

Paris

Off we went to explore the neighborhood, with the main purpose (at least for me) of getting a coffee maker. We found one lonely maker forgotten on the bottom shelf at the local grocery store, which was all we needed. We also stocked up on basic groceries. Ah, life can now begin.

Our new coffee maker and two bags of groceries.

We rented a two bedroom apartment on the top floor of a building with a view of Sacre Coeur. The girls’ room comes with a loft where they sleep. The bottom part has a desk, a daybed to use as a couch, and a closet.

We also moved around the other furniture to make it work for us. All a part of settling in.
