The sleepover continued well into the afternoon, so Paul and I didn’t feel we were able to have our usual morning coffee. We felt we needed to chaperone the group, so we hung out at home. Paul lived in the hammock with his book, the perfect chaperoning perch.
Kier came back from her trip to Santa Cruz. They had a great time there. Swam in the lake, stayed up late looking at the stars and moon on the lake. Kier ended up making sure everyone got fed, was the mom on the trip.
We went to Circus Bar for an early supper. The dad of the girls who had slept over, met us there so that we could eat together.
I ran some errands in town with Madi and Kier. We went shopping in one of the stores, Kier found a top she liked, which was rare. Difficult to find clothes here for her. Most of the clothes are flashy or highly decorative. Not a lot of lower key designs. I remember when I was looking for jeans I’d see them from the front, when I’d look at the pockets it would be like, “Whoa, flashy pockets with lots of stuff on them!!” That’s the style here. Go flashy or go home.
Later in the evening there was fire display thing that happened on the beach. Kier’s friends came and picked her up and they all went down there for that. She said it was a fun evening on the beach.
