Kayaking our Favorite Roman Aquaduct

Pont du Gard, France

Day 369, Pont du Gard, France

There are certain travel experiences that have been woven into our family’s travel history repeatedly. Most of these repeats have happened here in this part of Southern France, because it is Paul’s favorite place. Uzès, FranceWe’ve been to markets all around the world, it’s one of our favorite ways to experience a new culture. Today we are going to my favorite market in the world, and it’s in the small town of Uzès. On previous summer trips to Europe, the only souvenir I would bring home was a market basket from Uzès. I have quite a collection by now. We spent a week living in Uzès earlier in our trip, only increasing our fondness of this town. So off to our favorite market we went. This visit I said I would bypass my usual tradition of buying a basket, and yet, I went home with one anyway and toted it all around Europe for the remainder of the trip. So worth it.Uzès marketUzès, France Uzès, France Uzès, FranceUzès market Uzès market Uzès market Uzès market Uzès market Uzès market Uzès market Uzès market
With our bellies full of yummy market food, we set off to another one of our favorite locations, the Pont du Gard. When the girls were younger, we spent many hours in their kids museum. Now we’re doing big girl stuff. We’re seeing the Roman aqueduct from a different vantage point.Pont du Gard, FrancePont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, FrancePont du Gard, FrancePont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, France Pont du Gard, FranceAnother great day starting with our favorite market and ending with our favorite Roman Aquaduct.
