Day 277, Tokyo, Japan
From a family who has visited many science museums around the world, the one in Tokyo is one of the best. It has the most beautiful, interesting exhibits we’ve seen anywhere. Too bad we didn’t know more Japanese, I’m sure we would have learned much more.
We went to our first 360 movie. You walk onto a catwalk that goes into a sphere. The movie happens all around you, including above and below. The most impressive parts of the movie was when you were traveling through the universe.
The exhibits were incredible and so much more visually pleasing. The girls’ favorite part was the area where they could run different experiments on various machines. I was surprised how long they spent in this area, especially since they couldn’t read any of the instructions or explanations, and had to figure things out on their own. We spent over four hours in the museum. I can’t imagine how much time we would have spent if we could have understood more. But even without full understanding of the displays, it was interesting.
Me and the dinosaur bones. This next was a board with thousands of species of ants. You could look at them with a magnifying glass.Waiting while Cali was taking lots of pictures.
After the museum we met up with Yuriko, had noodles and dumplings. Then we spent a fun evening back at our apartment.
