Day 117
Although we’ve been to London many times, we had yet to see The Crown Jewels. Madi was determined to see them this time around, Cali wanted to see Big Ben, and we all wanted to do the Eye at night.
The Tower of London was larger than I’d expected, with a huge center courtyard. We stood in a huge line to see The Crown Jewels, but it moved quickly and we were in within fifteen minutes. Impressive amount of sparklage, to be sure. We also walked around the outside wall to see views of the city and read about the many battles which took place.
We spent the evening walking on the Thames, looking the beautiful parliament building. After it was dark we went on the Eye to see the London lights.
