Walls, Candy, and Crowds

Day 347 , Dubrovnik, Croatia

We walked down to the old city, which is most recently famous for being the King’s Landing setting in the Game of Thrones. The girls were excited! CroatiaCroatiaCroatiaCroatiaThe girls had different locations from the show they were determined to find. The old part of the town, the one that is walled in, is packed with tourists. Feels like you’re in Disney’s Epcot, complete with crowds. The restaurants are expensive and selfie sticks abundant.CroatiaCroatiaCroatiaCroatia CroatiaThere was a candy store that specialized in meringes.

The girls found the location of the “Shame” scene from Game of Thrones.CroatiaCroatiaCroatia
Here is a location where a couple of scenes were filmed with ships coming to King’s Landing.Croatia CroatiaCroatiaCroatiaWe had dinner in a restaurant at the entrance of the city, next to the wall. You pay extra for the wall. It was a covered, outdoor area that had heat lamps and a blanket every chair. Great end to a Kings Landing kind of day.Croatia
