I was up at 6:30 and walked past shotgun man out into the world to get some coffee. Burger King was across the street, so I got some there. I swung in the hammock, which was right outside our door, and waited for the others to get up. Eventually they did, we all got ready, had breakfast at Burger King because it was the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to feed everyone.
When we got to the water park, it wasn’t crowded. The rides didn’t start until 10 so we went to the wave pool and did more chicken fights. It has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. You had these three hyper competitive friends/brothers, my scrawny little girls on their shoulders, and we are all laughing so hard we can hardly catch our breath. The mom’s tried it once, but I we were laughing so much we could hardly keep our balance.
Then the rides opened we did all of them. The park was immaculate, full of lush flowering plants. Beautiful place. Each time we went on a ride, each of the guys would take one of the girls, they were very sweet to them. We did one of those slides where you almost go straight down, five people side by side. We turned it into a race, of course. The heaviest guy came in first, I came in last. I was bummed, unless it was determined by weight, then I’m fine.
We had a nasty lunch of fried chicken, onion rings, fries, hamburgers. Then we went back, did more rides. Then we did the dunk tank, where someone sits there and you have to hit the target to dunk the person.
It was an all around excellent day. Everyone had fun. Went to McDonalds on the way home, which was the first time we’ve been there since December. Most of the kids slept on the way home. The trip was supposed to take about two and a half hours, but took closer to four. It rained most of the way home, was very foggy also. We had to drive slowly to stay safe.
When we got back the teens met up with their friends since it was Saturday night, the biggest night of the week here for them. It was pouring. I decided to stay in, go to bed early for a change. Great day we won’t forget.
